Bon Jovi goes to Spain next month for a show in Madrid. Understanding that the country is facing tough economic times, the band has decided to significantly drop the prices of tickets.

According to the Spain news site The Local, frontman Jon Bon Jovi told El Mundo newspaper that when they were first planning their concert, Madrid was left off the schedule because of the economic climate. They didn’t think that fans would be able to afford the ticket price.

“When we were planning our tour to promote our new album, we did a study and saw that, given the economic crisis, Spain wasn't even on the map,” the “Livin’ On A Prayer” singer said. “But we didn't want to forget all about our fans in a country which I love, and which has treated me so well for 30 years.”

Tickets for the Vicente Calderón stadium show on June 27 were priced at €18-€39, which is about $23-$50, reports Reuters. All tickets have already sold out.

Bon Jovi was in the news last week for calling Justin Bieber an “a**hole” for starting his shows late. He also made comments about guitarist Richie Sambora, who is not on tour with them. He made it sound like Sambora was back in rehab, but Sambora shot back, saying that he has no “major problems” in his life now.
