The first trailer for Machete Kills, pop star Lady Gaga’s big screen debut, has been released. Director Robert Rodriguez announced last summer that she would be in the Grindhouse spin-off sequel.
The clip first appeared on Yahoo! OMG! En Espanol. Gaga plays a character named Lady Chameleon.
Also in the film starring alongside Gaga are Amber Heard, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Cuba Gooding Jr., Modern Family star Sofia Vergara, Danny Trejo in the title role, Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen, using his birth name Carlos Estévez.
According to MTV News, Machete Kills is one of two sequels Rodriquez will be working on this year. He just wrapped up Sin City: A Dame to Kill For with Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, Josh Brolin and Eva Green.
Gaga fans can catch the singer in her first-ever movie role on September 13. Rodriquez has tweeted how well she did in her acting debut, writing “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”
