Mariah Carey lived up to her diva attitude during the American Idol finale Thursday evening when she remained seated following Jennifer Lopez's energy packed performance while the rest of the auditorium jumped to their feet.
According to Us Weekly, Lopez had judges Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban on their feet as well as the packed crowd following her 10 minute performance. Mariah, on the other hand, remained in her seat, smile on her face as she played with streamers.
Carey's performance, which consisted of a revisit of her hits “Vision of Love,” “Make it Happen,” “My All,” “Hero,” “We Belong Together” and “#Beautiful,” did not receive the same response. In fact, Us Weekly notes that following Carey's performance several fans took to Twitter to slam the singer- alleging that she was lip-syncing.
Carey is among the names of Idol judge expecting to get the boot. Jackson has already handed in his resignation and Minaj is expected to hand hers in any day now. Lopez's name has frequently been brought up when discussing a revamp in judges, but the Grammy award winner is not certain if she will return or not.
