Every recent disaster, whether manmade or natural, has been met with conspiracy theories. The recent tornados in Oklahoma, which took 24 lives, are no exception. A group of people being called Oklahoma Truthers are claiming that President Obama was behind the tornados in an attempt to take the spotlight off his recent bout of scandals.

According to The Atlantic Wire, the conspiracy theorists believe that it is possible that the United States government used a weather controlling device to bring down the mile-wide tornado upon Moore, Oklahoma. The motive is clear; the White House is under fire for three scandals, which we covered here. Faking deadly storms would take the spotlight off the coverage of all the hearings going on in Washington.

Gawker reports that the Truthers link the government's control of the weather with a research site in Alaska called the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, or HAARP. Past theories have blamed HAARP for Superstorm Sandy and Hurricane Katrina.

And Twitter is immersed in Truther and Anti-Truther rabble:

And if you would like a super serious play by play on the evidence behind the conspiracy, check out the two following videos. Though, be warned that the evidence is a factory and that clouds were there in the lead up to the tornados (even if the narrator calls clouds 'chem trails').
