The Wanted Life, which premiered Sunday, June 2 on E!, follows British boy band The Wanted as they make music, party in Los Angeles, and of course, live in their swanky mansion. But aside from the excitement of these young musicians lives, the episode also showed the hardship of Nathan Sykes throat injury.

Earlier this year, Nathan Sykes, known and teased as the baby of the group, took an unforeseen hiatus because of a throat injury. As the series unfolds, viewers will get to see the development of the injury, the hiatus, and his recovery, says MTV.

“As the show started, we slowly realized it was getting serious and the producers were all like, ‘Hopefully, he’s ok!’ and I was like, ‘Yes! This is adding drama to the show,” Sykes says.

After his surgery, Sykes is taking vocal lessons to slowly get to where he was before. Luckily, he is healing quicker than originally thought, with a chance he might be back on stage later this week in time for The Wanted’s performance at the Summertime Ball at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Aside from Sykes injury, notorious ladies man of the group, Max George, opened up about his last relationship. According to the Huffington Post, Ryan Seacrest tweeted that he found women’s underwear hanging from the chandelier of the living room. Looks like George is enjoying the single life, again (for now).

What did you think of The Wanted Life premiere? Do you think Sykes will recover in time for The Wanted’s performance at the Summertime Ball June 9?
