Alternative Rock band, Brand New, has announced that they will be canceling their European tour scheduled for August of this year.

Brand New had planned on performing headlining sets in Reading and Leeds as well as other shows in Switzerland, Germany, and Belgium.

“Brand New regretfully announce that due to insurmountable personal issues, they have been forced to cancel their August European tour, including appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals,” said Brand New’s Facebook page. “Sincere apologies to everyone we are letting down.”

This announcement did not shock fans, as lead singer, Jesse Lacey, is known for odd antics like this. The specifics of the cancelation are still unknown.

However, the band is still planning to perform at the Riot Fest in September in Denver and Chicago as well as their US shows in the fall.

The last record the band produced was Daisy in 2009 off of Interscope Records. There is currently no word on a new album.
