According to Stereogum, this is a single released in anticipation of M.I.A.’s full length album set to drop some time this year. M.I.A. already released the single “Bad Girls” which is also on her album, Matangi.
M.I.A. has been dropping previews for “Bring the Noize” throughout the internet. A clip of her music video for “Bring the Noize” is available on M.I.A.’s vine.
Also, a short part of the song is available on her website.
According to The Music, M.I.A. was supposed to release her fourth album last year, but it was deemed “too positive” by her label. It was postponed, but it is still expected to be released in 2013.
M.I.A. has reportedly worked with producer Hit-Boy, who has worked with Kanye West, Jay-Z and A$AP Rocky, on this album. She is also reported to have worked with Danja who produced “Bad Girls.”
In March, a preview mix of Matangi was created Kenzo, a Japanese fashion label, for fall/winter show at Paris Fashion Week. It is available for listening below.
