Red Hot Chilli Peppers' front man Anthony Kiedis fought with a security guard Friday outside of the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, where iconic rock band the Rolling Stones were reportedly staying.
According to reports from E! News, security thought Kiedis was a fan trying to get into the hotel for closer access to the Stones and wrestled him to the ground.
In footage captured by TMZ, Kiedis is seen walking up to the hotel with a woman before security blocks him at the entrance. Soon after, the guard lunged at Kiedis, and the fight commenced.
Police were called to the scene to break up the altercation, after which Kiedis entered the hotel.
While the security guard who fought with Kiedis was neither an employee of the hotel nor the Rolling Stones, a source from the Stones said it is possible the man was hired as temporary security for the band's stay in Philly.
When asked later about the incident, Kiedis reportedly replied "I love the Rolling Stones."
