The Beatles are celebrating their second featured film Help! by giving fans outtakes and behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot.
Paste magazine reports Help! was directed by Richard Lester and sees John, Paul, George, and Ringer being confronted by an evil cult.
Lester, director of photography David Watkin, hair and make-up artist Betty Glasow, and costume designer Julie Harris share their memories while working on the film in the clip.
The videos show the production behind the shoot, interviews with producers, make-up artists, and costume designers.
“We spend quite a lot of time on post-production. We took two frames of every shot in the film, put them up on a light box, and played around with color filters until chose which filter we were putting in . . . we did if for about every shot in the film,” Lester said of the film Rolling Stone reports.
The digitally restored Blu-ray version of Help! is available Tuesday on Amazon. The version includes a 30-minute documentary as well as special outtakes, interviews, and trailers. The Beatles’ catalog is available now on iTunes.
