The first trailer for Woody Allen’s 2013 project - Blue Jasmine - has hit the web and it looks like Cate Blanchett has another great role to add to her resume.

Blue Jasmine finds Blanchett as Jasmine, a washed-up socialite who has lost all of her money. She has a cheating husband, played by Alec Baldwin, and a sister who lets her live with her. Jasmine also clashes with Bobby Cannavale, who plays her sister’s husband. Essentially, it’s Woody Allen meets Tennessee Williams’ A Streetcar Named Desire.

Other members of the cast include Louis C.K., Sally Hawkins, Peter Sarsgaard, Alden Ehrenreich, Tammy Blanchard and Andrew Dice Clay.

Sony Pictures Classic snapped up distribution rights in January. The distributor has worked with Allen countless times over the past decade, including 2012’s To Rome With Love. SPC also released 2011’s hit Midnight in Paris.

Blue Jasmine will be released on July 26. (And don’t worry, Allen’s already working on his 2014 project.)
