Daft Punk knows how to market themselves. The French music duo already has action figures and now they’ve gotten into the condom business. They are allowing a condom company to use the single cover for the hit “Get Lucky” on packages.
According to NME, Daft Punk signed a deal with Durex, which has started to mail out packages to DJs to promote them. Spin.com notes that Diplo posted a picture of the box he recieved on Instagram.
“Thank god I had those daft punk condoms last night,” Diplo wrote. The picture has 17,400 likes and 560 comments.
This follows news that Daft Punk is introducing a new set of action figures based on themselves. The Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo figures will be wearing the helmets featured in the Random Access Memories art and will not be available until Dec. 27.
“Get Lucky,” which features vocals by Pharrell Williams, is currently at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Random Access Memories scored the second-biggest debut of 2013 after its release in May.
Who knows what Daft Punk will license next!
