Edward Snowden’s fate stays unsealed as new reports surfaced revealing that he has still not received the Russian travel documents. The 30 year old US intelligence leaker has been stuck at the Moscow airport since June 23 when he first arrived there from Hong Kong.
The speculations of him being given the necessary travel documents that were required to leave the transit zone of the airport had first emerged when his lawyer Anatoly Kucherena was seen arriving at the airport with a brown paper bag according to TheCelebrityCafe.com
Anatoly Kucherena spoke to the reporters in a press conference and told them that Snowden was to stay put in the transit zone since his application for temporary asylum in Russia had not been processed and he was yet to receive any travel documents.
Snowden who is a former technical contractor for the United States NSA (National Security Agency) and also a former employee of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) caused a stir when he leaked various top-secret details of US and British mass surveillance. While some people have dubbed this as a heroic act on Snowden’s part calling him a whistleblower, there are many who think of him as a traitor.
