Paris Jackson reportedly hoped to transfer to a rehab facility in Utah, but the administrators there rejected her request in fears of the paparazzi that would invade the facility.
Sources for TMZ claim that Paris, the 14-year-old daughter of Michael Jackson, had tried to transfer out of UCLA Medical Center, where she has been since her suicide attempt. Doctors there don’t want her to leave UCLA, since they still believe that she could be a danger to herself.
So, Debbie Rowe, her biological mother, began researching new facilities where she could transfer to. One in Utah sounded perfect, but the facility officials rejected the application, saying that they are afraid that photographers will come to take pictures of Jackson and other patients.
Paris remains at UCLA and sources tell TMZ that she’s in a wing where people with eating disorders are being treated. She doesn’t have an eating disorder, though. TMZ reports that Rowe is still on a search for another facility.
This news comes just after Rowe took to Twitter to speak for her daughter. “My daughter has asked that I extend a huge thank you for all your thoughts and prayers and support,” she tweeted, reports People. “She is strong like her father.” She also wrote Monday, “Picking up tea spending the day with my daughter.”
