The story behind the the best-selling female R&B group of all time will be told this fall in the VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The debut of the movie will also be in conjunction with the release of a greatest-hits album.

MTV reports that CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story premieres in October. Keke Palmer, Lil' Mama and Drew Sidora star as Chilli, Left Eye and T-Boz. The group's manager and L.A.'s Reid's then-wife Pebbles will be played by actress Rochelle Aytes. Surviving band members T-Boz and Chilli served as consultants and executive producers for the project, approving the various scenes and uncanny likeliness of the actresses.

Band member Lisa "Left Eyes" Lopes tragically died in an accident in 2002. TLC's last album, 3D was released months after Lopes' death.

The greatest-hits album to be released Oct. 15, will include brand-new songs written by Lady Gaga, according to USAToday. Ne-Yo, Lil Mama, Drake and J. Cole will also be contributors on the collection.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story premieres on Oct. 21 on VH1.
