Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine hasn’t even hit theaters yet and the legendary filmmaker is already working on his 2014 project. The latest actresses to join the still-untitled film are Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden and Oscar nominee Jacki Weaver.
Deadline reports that they are members of the new crop of actors joining the project. There’s also Eileen Atkins (Beautiful Creatures), Hamish Linklater (42) and Simon McBurney (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) joining Harden and Weaver.
The new film got moving when Emma Stone joined in April, soon followed by Colin Firth. It will be set in France, where Allen’s 2011 hit Midnight in Paris was set. It is also Allen’s eighth movie in Europe.
Allen returns to the States with Blue Jasmine, which stars Cate Blanchett as a fallen socialite forced to live with her sister. Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Louis C.K. and Sally Hawkins co-star. Sony Pictures Classics is releasing the film on July 26.
Weaver most recently starred in Silver Linings Playbook, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Harden has several other projects in the works, including Get A Job with Anna Kendrick.
