Our precious cargo is in good hands with the Britax bike seat. As a loyal user of only Britax infant car seats and boosters for my children, I was thrilled for the opportunity to try the bike seat out. Suitable for ages 9 months to 4 years and up to 40 pounds, the seat has a nine position head rest and a fifteen position foot rest. The product truly grows with your child. The two position adjustable recline allows your child the freedom to rest comfortably while still being safe. Britax uses an innovative click and cruise bracket which makes attaching and removing the seat from the bike both effortless and easy. I was as thrilled with the five point harness on the bike seat I was with the car seats. Our children are absolutely safe and secure in this seat. The deep side walls and backrest in combination with the spoke guards add to the security. And I was so happy with the fabric; totally breathable to keep your child comfortable and completely sweat free. And because our children seem to be magnets for dirt and spills, all the padding is machine washable. In addition, fabric is a reversible red/grey.
We tested the bike seat on a local trail that was both windy and bumpy and our daughter was happy and comfortable for the duration of the ride. The product weighs under twelve pounds making it simple to take with you on a family trip. The Britax bike seat fits most bikes 26-28"(66-71 cm) diameter wheels and with a tube diameter of 1-1/8" to 1-7/16" (28-36 mm). The bike seat meets stringent ASTM F-1625 standards.
