Another link to the great Hollywood classic Wizard of Oz is gone. Margaret Pellegrini, one of the last remaining munchkins, has died at age 89.

Munchkins spokesperson Ted Bulthaup told CNN that Pellegrini was seen in the film wearing a flower pot on her head. In her honor, fans placed flower pots on the Hollywood Walk of Fame star for the munchkins.

Bulthaup said that Pellegrini suffered a stroke at her Phoenix home on Monday.

According to Variety, she was a regular participant of the Frank Baum parade in Chittenango, New York and other Oz events. The only remaining munchkins are Lollipop Kid Jerry Maren, 93, and Ruth Duccini, 95.

In November 2011, Karl Slover, who also attended the 2007 Walk of Fame ceremony, fied at age 93.

The Wizard of Oz will be re-released in IMAX 3D on Sept. 20. The film celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and Warner Bros., which now has distribution of the film, is also re-releasing it on Blu-ray and DVD.
