Eminem used Sunday's VMAs as a vehicle to announce the title and release date of the rap legend's upcoming eighth studio album. MMLP2, short for The Marshall Mathers LP 2 will come to stores November 5, reported by Yahoo News.

The promo promises production from longtime collaborator Dr. Dre and Rick Rubin. Despite little to no information until just recently, it has been listed by such outlets as MTV as one of the most anticipated rap albums of the year, which has already had new albums from Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Also announced was the release of the first single "Bezerk" for Tuesday August 27 on iTunes, of which a sample played during the announcement. In it, Eminem promises the return of old-school hip hop and to "start it from scratch."

Eminem had previously whetted fans' appetites by releasing a new track "Survival" exclusively on a trailer for the upcoming video game Call of Duty: Ghosts.
