Singer Justin Timberlake has been nominated five times for the upcoming MTV European Music Awards 2013.

The "Mirrors" singer is tied with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis with five nominations each, Daily Mail. The two acts will be competing against each other for Best U.S. act.

Timberlake has also been nominated for Best Male, Best Live, Best Video for Mirrors and Best Look. Macklemore are up for Best New, Best World Stage, Best Song for "Thrift Shop" and Best Hip Hop.

Just behind the two acts for several nominations are Lady Gaga, Robin Thicke, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, with four noms each.

Thicke and Cyrus are expected to attend the European awards show.

While U.S. stars feature heavily in nominations, a couple British acts also garnered multiple nominations, Express notes. One Direction and Rudimental both are up for three EMA awards.

One Direction's Harry Styles is up for Best Look award.

There are several other British acts up for nominations including Elle Goulding, Olly Murs and more.

The MTV European Music Awards is on Nov. 10 at Amsterdam's Ziggo Dome.
