Kentucky Fried Chicken is attempting to give some competition to it’s rival fast food chains such as McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s - they’re introducing meals that can be eaten in the car while driving.
Yahoo reports that the new KFC Go Cups feature chicken in small containers that are made to fit in the cup holders in vehicles.
"People are already eating on the go," said a spokesperson from KFC. "We're trying to make that as easy as possible."
KFC has been working on the container design for two years now, and have finally patented the perfected product. A clear plastic lid tops the cup to trap the heat in.
Each Go Cup holds one of five varieties of chicken pieces along with seasoned potato wedges for just $2.49. According to KFC, customers can choose between Chicken Littles®, Original Recipe® Bites, Hot Wings™, Original Recipe®Boneless, or Extra Crispy™ Tenders.
KFC is promoting the Go Cups through a photo contest on Instagram called #GoCupGo.
