Taylor Swift has released a new music for her single, “The Last Time,” which features Gary Lightbody. Lightbody is known for being a member of Snow Patrol.
Fans that are hoping for a storyline driven music video that features Swift will be let down once again. Swift recently released a music video for her single Red but the video was just of her ‘Red’ tour.
“The Last Time” is a gorgeous debut but when it comes to the music video, featuring something other than the popular ‘Red’ tour would have added to the haunting song. This song features Swift being very vulnerable and open. Lightbody’s vocals compliment Swift and fill out the melancholy pop song.
“The Last Time,” has a very similar feel to the music video for "Red" because it was also filmed during the ‘Red’ tour. The video is of a performance of “The Last Time,” on the ‘Red’ tour. Swift and Lightbody are seen singing the track during the tour. It was great to see Lightbody performing the track live with Swift, this interaction between the two musical superstars add another level to the already emotionally driven song but this song could have benefited from a full music video treatment like "I Knew You Were Trouble."
