Beyonce's surprise self-titled album is heading towards the top spot on the Billboard 200 after having sold over 430,000 digital copies exclusively through iTunes.
According to Billboard, the self-titled album could possibly hit over 600,000 in sales after being released on Thursday night. On Friday, her album had already managed to sell 350,000 copies.
Beyonce hasn't even been out for a week and the album is heading towards the best female artist debuting album, since last year when Taylor Swift's Red sold 1.2 million copies in its first week.
As previously reported, Beyonce was able to completely surprise fans with the release of her latest album. The singer provided no heads up that a new album was due out.
One unique part of the album is that every track comes with its own music video, in addition to videos for two songs not included on the album, "Grown Woman" and "Standing on the Sun."
She said in a Facebook video, "It's more than just what I hear. When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling," emotion or memory.
