Lady Gaga has finally announced her North American tour to support her latest album, ARTPOP. The tour will kick off in Florida in May and ends in Los Angeles in July.
Just like her tour for Born This Way, the ARTPOP tour will be considered a “ball,” but she’s also dubbed it an “artRAVE.” The poster promises much more than just music, including fashion, dancing and a party. After all, what’s a rave without some dancing and partying?
On her Facebook page, Gaga’s team said that LittleMonsters.com members will get first dibbs at tickets today. Members were required to RSVP on the site and will receive an email with a special code to get the tickets. This special pre-sale ends on Thursday.
As for the general public, tickets go on sale Monday, Dec. 9. The tour kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. on May 4 and she will perform at New York’s Madison Square Garden on May 14. The tour finishes on July 21 at Los Angeles’ Staples Center.
The tour comes at a critical time for Gaga, as ARTPOP has not started off as well as Born This Way. Although it debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart, it only held that position for a week, falling to no. 8 this week. That’s even after a performances on Saturday Night Live and the American Music Awards.
Gaga was in Tokyo this week for charity and to pose with a life-size doll version of her self. There, she promised to go back to Japan as part of the international ARTPOP tour.
