Oprah Winfrey is getting emotional about her Screen Actors Guild nomination for her role in Lee Daniels’ The Butler. She attended the Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment Breakfast in Beverly Hills on Tuesday and talked about the nod.

"For someone who was trying not to embarrass myself, it is amazing," she told E! News of the recognition.

"The best part is it is a jury of your peers," she went on to say before getting emotional. "It's people who do this for a living—don't make me cry now!—It's people who do this for a living saying we're going to give you a vote. We think what you did deserves this."

Winfrey is even following her own advice that she’s given over the years. "I'm going to do exactly what I said to people for years when they came on my show during awards season, 'Just ride the wave. Enjoy it!'" she said.

As we previously reported, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones and 30 Rock scored several nominations on the television side and 12 Years a Slave got nominations in every category except one.
