Sandra Bullock’s next role might team her up with her Gravity co-star George Clooney, although he will be behind the camera. The Oscar winner is reportedly in talks to star in Our Brand is Crisis, a long-gestating project from Clooney and his producing partner, Grant Heslov.

The casting news was first reported by TheWrap. However, Bullock’s rep did not comment and reps for Warner Bros. and Clooney didn’t comment either.

Our Brand in Crisis will be based on a 2005 documentary about former President Clinton campaign managers James Carville and Stan Greenberg putting their American strategies to work for elections in Bolivia. That was directed by Rachel Boynton. According to Indiewire, Clooney first spoke of plans to turn the documentary into a feature film in 2011, but productions like Argo and next year’s Monuments Men got in the way.

It’s not known if Clooney will star in the film, although TheWrap notes that he isn’t going to direct. The script was written by Peter Straughan (The Men Who Stare At Goats).

Bullock, who earned a Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination this morning for Gravity, won her Oscar for The Blind Side and is expected to compete for an Oscar for Gravity. Her Upcoming projects include a sequel to The Heat, the comedy she co-starred in with Melissa McCarthy this year.
