Three 6 Mafia founding member Lord Infamous has died. He was only 40 years old.
Infamous was found dead after suffering a heart attack in his sleep.
Rolling Stone magazine reported that Rick "Lord Infamous" Dunigan was the founding member of Three 6 Mafia.
DJ Paul spoke to Rolling Stone and said that the passing of Infamous was sudden. "He was at home sitting at the table and he just lay his head down and he just left us," said Paul.
Infamous had suffered a stroke and and heart attack in 2010 but since those incidents, Infamous had been healthy.
Fellow group member Gangsta Boo took to Twitter to break the news to the world, Billboard reported.

Members of the group took to social media to express their shock and sadness over the passing of Infamous.
Three 6 Mafia made history when the group won an Oscar back in 2006 for 2006 Best Original Song with "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp."
