The Bethlehem Pennsylvania Sands Casino Resort has had enough with a rumor that circulated online about the gaming house having snakes.

According to the Express-Times, casino spokeswoman Julia Corwin said Tuesday that Sands wanted the public to know that rumors about snakes biting people in the casino are not true.

The rumors of customer and snake encounters started on Facebook when someone posted that their doctor diagnosed them with a snake bite and asked if they had visited the casino, the Associated Press noted.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. owns the regional casino and issued the following statement:

"There have been no reported incidents of snakes on our property. We do not allow any animals on property with the exception of service animals."

If a casino was snake-infested or even had one, if would not be operating and the reptile would be captured.

It’s unclear if anyone actually believed the rumor and steered clear from the casino, but the Pennsylvania State Police had to come out and confirm that there are "absolutely zero snakes” at the resort.
