Luke Bracey will be playing Johnny Utah in the new ‘Point Break’ remake.

The new film will feature the actor best known for his role in G.I. Joe: Retaliation. The actor will appear opposite of Gerard Butler.

In the orignal film, a young undercover FBI agent uncovers the truth among a gang of thieves who are involved in extreme sports. The original movie featured Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeves took a Most Desirable Male Award for the 1991 Film at the MTV Movie Awards.

Bracey was first known to audiences for his soap opera, Home and Away. According to Deadline, Bracey played the Cobra Commander in last year’s G.I. Joe: Retaliation. He also appeared in the television series, Dance Academy and the film, Monte Carlo. Bracey was born in Sydney, Australia. Gerald Butler was born in Paisley, Scotland. He will be playing Bodhi, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Butler has appeared in Coriolanus and Playing for Keeps.

The remake of Point Break will be produced by Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, alongside John Baldecchi, Chris Taylor and Kurt Wimmer. Filming of the movie begins in the Summer.
