Will Ferrell will be returning to the large screen in the longer, super-sized version of Anchorman 2.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Writer/ Director Adam McKay said in a statement, “When my editor told me we had a whole different version of the movie that was more than two hours long with nearly 800 new jokes, I was shocked. But when Paramount said they were actually going to put it in theaters, I did a 1950's spit take. If you're a hardcore Anchorman fan go see this. If you're not, stay very far away."
Fans might be rushing to the box office to see the film that is longer than the sequel, which opened in December. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues brought in more than $170 million worldwide. The film, Anchorman 2, starred Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, a San Diego newsman. The film also stars Steve Carrell as Brick Tamland and Paul Rudd as Brian Fantana. According to the Huffington Post, the new version of the film has 763 new jokes in it.
The rated R, super-sized version of the film will open in theaters on Feb. 28.
