Pentatonix shot to fame after sinning Season 3 of NBC's A Capella singing competition The Sing-Off in 2011. Since their victory, they managed to stay in the spotlight, covering everything from Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" to Lorde's "Royals."

After releasing 3 studio albums, Pentatonix, which consists of Scott Hoying, Kristie Maldonado, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola, have also written some of their own songs.

"Run To You" comes off of their second studio album, PTX, Vol. 2. It is an original song that has a much different sound than their signature upbeat beatbox and bass heavy music. "Run To You" takes a more emotional tone, allowing each of their voices to shine on their own as well as blend well together.

The musicality of this single is very dynamic yet subtle. The music video is just as simple as the ballad it represents. We see each member of the group, and can manage to hear each and every voice, the differences and the ability for them to blend their voices to create an emotional connection to the song. The dark background with the reverse snowfall add a strong visual to the lyrics.

"Run To You" is definitely one of their best singles. The subtlety of the ballad shows Pentatonix's strength to float from genre to genre and still deliver songs with such an impact that shows they can truly sing anything with great success.

Pentatonix will kick off their first worldwide tour, starting in North America, Feb. to April, and will head to Europe and the U.K. late April, early may.
