The one hour and forty-two minute drama is based on Emile Zola's novel, "Thérèse Raquin.” The limited released film stars Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Felton, Jessica Lange, Oscar Isaac, and John Kavanagh. It’s rated R for sex and violence.
Omar is a tale of star crossed lovers. In the unrated drama, a Palestinian baker and freedom fighter risks his life to go over the Israeli border to see his girlfriend. After killing an Israeli soldier, he is captured by the Israeli military and made an informant. Forced to work for his enemy, he begins to question the allegiance of all those around him, including his friends. The one hour and thirty-eight minute Palestinian film is subtitled in English. It’s running in limited theaters.
A young man dreams of being a pilot in The Wind Rises. When he finds out that he can’t drive a plane because of his poor eyesight, he decides to go a different route and become an airplane designer. The limited released film tells the story of Jiro Horikoshi, an innovative Japanese engineer from the 1920’s.
