University of Chicago student, Nicholas Barnes, 20, was found in his dorm room dead on Saturday at 4:15 p.m.

Barnes was found face down and decomposed at the International house, where he was living. A student, who also resides at the house, found him when others complained of an odor around the room.

According to theABC , Karen Warren Coleman, vice president for campus life and student services said in a statement that, ''Our thoughts are with Nicholas' family and friends, the Booth House community, residents and staff of I-House, and all who are touched by this loss. Nicholas was an excellent student, admired by faculty and peers alike.”

Barnes’s family is planning a funeral for him in Pittsburg, PA and the University of Chicago will be holding a memorial as well, according to Chicago Sun Times.

Authorities do not expect any foul play in the death of Nicholas Barnes, and the cause of death will not be known until an autopsy.
