Two giants of their respective fields crossed paths at a gym in Los Angeles on Thursday.
According to Pacquiao spokesperson Fred Sternberg in Rolling Stone, Bob Dylan called ahead before he came to Wild Card Boxing Club to watch Pacquiao train for his upcoming rematch with welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. "I've never seen the place take an aura like this, and I've been going to that gym for nearly a decade. We were all awestruck" said Sternberg.
Dylan stuck around for an hour and made himself comfortable on a weight bench while the boxer sparred for eight rounds with two different opponents. Afterwards the singer/songwriter posed for pictures and signed autographs for the handful of people who were there while the gym was closed to the public. Pacquiao tweeted a picture of the two standing shoulder to shoulder and making a fist. He added that boxing legend Freddie Roach, who runs the gym, said "I think A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall on @TimBradleyJr," referencing Dylan's 1976 live album "Hard Rain."

Dylan has been boxing for exercise since at least the 1990's and wrote songs about fighters as far back as 1963's "Who Killed Davey Moore?"
The Pacquiao vs Bradley rematch is scheduled for April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
