Emma Watson is opening up about her work on her newest effort, Noah.
According to the Associated Press, Watson explained, "Darren does these very dark, very intense, very gritty, very real films. And then Noah is kind of - you see this guy with the long beard and there's the animals. ... You can't really picture it."
The film deals with the story of the man who survives the apocalyptic flood. Watson, 23, thought that the script was “an original take on a genre.” The film, Noah, was met with some early controversy. Paramount executives had a lot to say about working with the material and the artistic team.
Watson said that she “is more spiritual than specifically religious.” According to The Huffington Post, Watson says that she’s more of a Universalist, and she sees “unifying tenants” in so many religions.
Noah features Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, and Anthony Hopkins. Aronofsky’s other films include Black Swan, The Wrestler, The Fountain, and Requiem for a Dream.
