A film about a Beijing-bound jet crashing into the ocean has been postponed out of respect for the families and loved ones of the passengers on the Malaysian Airlines flight 370.
Just days after Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced via press conference that no one survived the missing flight, Managing Director of the film, Gary Hamilton, said they would be delaying it.
"We're delaying it out of respect for what's going on," he said about Deep Water at the Hong Kong Filmart trade show.
The AP reports he also said, "It's a pretty tragic event.” Deep Water, he explained, is “not actually the same, it just deals with a plane crash."
“This is a remote location, far from any possible landing site," Razak said during the conference. "It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data flight MH370 3 ended in the southern Indian Ocean."
There were 239 crew members and passengers on the flight, including two infants. The Boeing 777 went missing on March 8 .
