Fox is looking to keep working with comedy director Paul Feig, acquiring a pitch for a musical his production shingle will make.

The project was written by Yana Gorskaya and Maia Rossini. According to Variety, Gorskaya is better known in the business for her work as an editor. She worked on the Oscar nominated documentary Spellbound. Rossini, who has been friends with Gorskaya since childhood, is a novelist.

Feig's Feigco Entertainment is producing with Jessie Henderson.

Despite news of the pitch reaching the web, there’s no word on what the project will be about or what the title is. All that’s known is that it will be a musical and will require an ensemble cast, notes The Hollywood Reporter.

While Feig previously worked with Universal on the hit Bridesmaids, he’s been doing business with Fox lately. He made The Heat for the studio with Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock. He is currently working on Susan Cooper with McCarthy and Jude Law. That movie will be filming in the summer.

Although musicals are rarely made, executives like to occasionally gamble on them. There have been recent successes like Pitch Perfect and Les Miserables, but also flops like Rock of Ages. Disney is currently working on an adaptation of Into The Woods.
