Justin Timberlake decided to do something a little different for his latest music video, “Not A Bad Thing.” Rather than a performance clip or scenes of the singer dancing, he enlisted a documentary crew to find a couple that got engaged to the song in New York.
The video premiered on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, with DeGeneres saying that Timberlake asked her as a friend to show the video. According to E! News, she explained that the video shows how the crew tried to find the couple.
It shows footage of the couple getting engaged on National Proposal Day. Then, “Not A Bad Thing” kicks into gear as the crew tries to find them.
Rolling Stone notes that the video also features couples gushing about their proposals and how they found love.
The video ends with a “to be continued” card, since the couple could not be found.
“Not A Bad Thing” can be heard on the second part of Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience. Although the two-part album was released last year, the “Suit & Tie” singer is continuing to promote the release and is about to start a European tour. He will be back in the U.S. in July.
