In an interview, Kendrick Lamar addressed the Grammys' Macklemore text and the possibility of two albums due out later this year also came up.

Following the Grammys where Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won for Best Rap Album, the winner reached out though Instagram and made it known to everyone that he felt Lamar was "robbed." At the time all that Lamar would say is that Macklemore's win was "well deserved."

Now in an interview with Billboard, he went a little further on the issue. Lamar admitted that the text came out of nowhere, but that Macklemore "is a genuine dude."

The rapper continued, "However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people's souls, and no one can take that away."

According to Pitchfork, during the interview, Lamar's label Top Dawg Entertainment's Anthony Tiffith noted that a new Lamar album could be out in the latter part of 2014.

There could also be an album from Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock as Black Hippy also due out at some point this year.
