Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman appear in the movie, The Railway Man, based on the autobiography of Eric Lomax, a British Army officer who was tortured in war.
According to the Daily Mail, the cast members had a fine time working on the film based on real people. The film is directed by Jonathan Teplitzky. The screenplay was written by Frank Cottrell Boyce and Andy Paterson. The movie stars Hollywood A-listers, Colin Firth and Nicole Kidman. The movie premiere was star studded. Though Firth appeared at the event, Kidman could not attend, as she was shooting a movie in Sydney.
The film is about Eric Lomax who survived the horrors of World War II, unlike many fellow soldiers. The movie is based on a book, written by Lomax, who died in 2012 at age 93 while the film was being edited, according to the Associated Press.
The Railway Man is a Weinstein Company release. It will be released in theaters on April 11.
