The woman who killed her boyfriend by beating him with to death with a stiletto heel was sentenced to life in prison on Friday.
According to KHOU-TV, Ana Trujillo spoke to the judge ahead of the sentencing, saying, "I never meant to hurt him." She added, "It was never my intent. I loved him. I wanted to get away. I never wanted to kill him."
While her sentence was announced, Trujillo quietly cried.
The victim, Alf Stefan Andersson's family appeared happy with the sentence noting that Trujillo got what she deserved as Andersson "didn't deserve what happened to him," his niece, Iva Olofsson said.
As previously reported, a Houston jury found 45-year-old Trujillo guilty of murder after she hit Andersson in the skull with a stiletto heel 25 times while sitting on top of him.
She had tried to claim self-defense, saying that she was merely trying to defend herself after the two of them got into an argument. Prosecutors said that she was merely lying since Trujillo didn't tell the 911 dispatcher that she was afraid for her life.
