Miranda Lambert is happy to leave hosting duties up to her husband, Blake Shelton. Lambert acknowledges that she doesn’t have the comedic timing and impressive public speaking abilities Shelton has.
On the eve of Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards that Shelton will host, Lambert spoke about his talent as a host.
“My comedic timing isn’t good. You know, the timing you naturally have to have. Blake is the best. I don’t know how he does it,” said Lambert, reported PEOPLE Country.
Shelton certainly has had some practice after participating as a judge on the popular singing contest show, The Voice.
Lambert went on to say that she had “no desire” to ever try hosting like her husband.
“I’m not good at that stuff not at all. I would totally fall flat on my face,” said Lambert.
Whether or not Lambert likes hosting, she may have to get on stage however to give a speech. She is up for seven nominations while Shelton has five nominations Sunday.
As previously reported Shelton will not only be hosting the ACM’s but also performing his new hit single, “Medicine” with another judge on the voice, Skakira. The song is the 11th No. 1 single on the Billboard Country Airplay charts for Shelton, giving him the title for most consecutive No.1 singles.
