The MTV Movie Awards will feature a tribute to Paul Walker on April 13.
The actor, Walker, died in a car crash on the weekend of Thanksgiving. The network has decided that they should honor his memory during the event. In the past he has won for the category of “ best kiss” and “best gut- wrenching performance.” Back in 2002, Walker and co-star Vin Diesel won best pair at the awards show.
As earlier reported The Los Angeles Times, MTV president Stephen Friedman said that the tribute was the proper thing to do. “Paul Walker was a role model for the MTV audience since the very beginning of his too-short career. Our audience grew up with him, from ‘Varsity Blues’ to the ‘Furious’ franchise,” Friedman said. “He was a movie star but one that they could relate to.”
It is believed that the tribute will include a highlight reel and Walker’s co-star from Fast and the Furious, Jordana Brewster will have the honor of paying tribute according to Inquisitr.
