If Jimmy Fallon can slow jam the news, there should be nothing stopping anyone from slow-jamming a beloved television theme song. That’s exactly what one YouTube band has done with the DuckTales theme. Disney certainly never thought the song could be performed this way.

This version of the song gives it a jazzy vibe that makes you almost forget that Scrooge McDuck swam in a sea of gold to the tune of the song. The series featured Scrooge and Donald Duck’s nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie.

As the AV Club notes, the version was performed by Saturday Morning Slow Jams, the brainchild of Scott Bradlee. He is also behind Postmodern Jukebox, in which his group performs songs in different genres.

Bradlee and his SMSJ group plan on doing new versions of classic themes once a week. Last week, the group did a slow jam version of the Pokemon theme with a different singer.

The DuckTales video has passed 660,000 views, while the Pokemon one is up to 550,000.
