A deadly tornado outbreak has killed at least 29 people, but it’s not over yet and some 75 million people are under a severe weather threat for Tuesday.

According to CNN, people in several states from the Great Lakes to the Gulf Coast, and from the Midwest to the East Coast are under the threat.

While one-third of the country could get more severe weather, the greatest risk lies within the Deep South.

The Weather Channel noted that the region could see damaging winds, hail and more devastating tornadoes.

Over the past few days, residents from many states including Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Louisiana suffered deadly tornado outbreaks. So far, Arkansas received the most damage.

"Just looking at the damage, this may be one of the strongest we have seen," Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe said referring to the storms that tore through the middle of the state.

In Mississippi, WTVA news crews had to head for cover and leave the studio in the middle of the broadcast as a damaging tornado had touched down.

Parts of the country will remain under the threat until Thursday.
