As she continues her domination on the Billboard Hot 100, which she has ranked No. 2 for the past month with “Problem”, Ariana Grande has already set her sights on a new smash. Grande’s next single off her hotly anticipated, yet-to-be-titled sophomore album is a collaboration with EDM artist Zedd.
The song is entitled “Break Free” and Grande began her 10-day Twitter and Instagram countdown for it on Sunday. The high-ranged vocalist announced it herself via Twitter. This all comes after Grande posted an array of space-y, galactic-type photos on her Instagram account. The collaboration is a bit odd considering that Ariana Grande is more of a vocally-focused R&B/Pop singer, while Zedd is an electronic-savvy DJ/Producer. So this could go really bad (LL Cool J and Brad Paisley – “Accidental Racist”) or really good (Lady Gaga and R. Kelly- “Do What u Want”). Since they both seem capable of excelling in sounds that are not necessarily in their comfort zone, this collaboration might go really good.
As Ariana Grande gears up to release her next single, her older half-brother, Frankie Grande, is prepared to hit the summer primetime TV waves with the CBS summer signature Big Brother , according to US Magazine.
