An escapee from an Arizona prison was located and captured and now his girlfriend has also been arrested.
According to KTVK, Gila River police said that the manhunt for Francisco Gonzales ended after he and his girlfriend, Alyssa Antone, were found in Phoenix Friday evening.
ABC15 reported that Gonzales was able to break out of his restraints during a medical appointment on Tuesday and fled the hospital on foot.
The Gila River Police launched a search and were assisted by the U.S. Marshals Service, East Valley Task Force and the Mesa Police Department in locating the inmate.
The department warned the public that Gonzales was considered dangerous.
Authorities said that he will face new charges for the escape. He previously faced charges from Maricopa County for aggravated assault and armed robbery.
Law enforcement officials do not yet know at what point the suspect met up with Antone, but she will face charges for allegedly assisting in his escape efforts.
They have both been booked into Maricopa County Jail.
