Apparently, in addition to the variety of different stars that will be seen in Marvel's upcoming superhero movie Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, there is one more fans should expect to see: Nathan Fillion.
Director James Gunn confirmed such on Twitter, as Collider noted, when asked if the rumors were true by responding:
“@STARS_TyranT: Are the rumours true that he has some part in the film?” @nathanfillion has a very small fun cameo he did as a favor to me.

The rumors started when Comic Book Movie.com suggested that Fillion was playing the role of Nova in the movie. However, the director shot those rumors down quickly by responding:
The rumors of my pal @NathanFillion playing Nova in #guardiansofthegalaxy have been greatly (and entirely) exaggerated. Sorry, humans.

Gunn does want to reveal who it is, believing that it would ruin the fun and he would definitely be right. Fillion and Gunn have worked together several times now, as the actor has appeared in his previous films, Slither and Super, and also appeared in Gunn's online series PG Porn.
Who exactly Fillion is playing will have to be determined at the beginning of August.
