Electronic Arts, a video game company, is teaming up with Microsoft to develop a Netflix-style market for video games called EA Access, and it sounds like a game changer.
Subscribers to EA Access will be able to play more than $100 worth of Xbox One games as often as they’d like for $4.99 a month or $29.99 a year, reports the company’s website. Members will also receive 10% off of EA digital purchases on games such as Madden NFL 15, FIFA 15, and NBA LIVE 14. And, if that isn’t enough to reel you in, EA Access will allow you to download games that have not yet been released up to five days early.
The Electronic Arts staff released a statement on July 29, revealing their upcoming launch and their eagerness to find “new ways to make it easier for gamers to play more EA games across all platforms.”
Gamers will be able to signup for EA Access at Gamestop stores or online through Amazon, according to PC Magazine. The launch date has not yet been made public.
