Fans of Kid Cudi were given a bit of a scare when the rapper passed out during a performance set Saturday.
The "Day 'N Night" singer, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, was the headliner at the North Coast Music Festival in Union Park in Chicago. According to The Chicago Tribune, Kid Cudi jumped into the photo pit to interact with fans. He stopped to sign an autograph for a fan and then began to fall back. Security guards aided the rapper as he fainted.
The festival's publicist told The Tribune that Cudi had been feeling ill prior to going onstage. Cudi returned to the stage after he was revived but immediately exited once again.
After the incident, Kid Cudi tweeted to let his fans know that he was alright. Cudi thanked fans and security guards for being helpful and caring. He also seemed to place the blame for his fainting spell on a poor pre-show diet quipping, "Ill do a better [job] and make sure to eat properly on show days… [scout's] honor!"
I'm ok!!
