Known for his roles in films such as The Godfather and Scarface, Al Pacino is one of the finest actors in the history of film. His film roles in the 70’s helped to establish his credibility as an actor and he has come a long ways since he first began in film. In recent years, he also had roles in programs such as the 2003 miniseries Angels in America and You Don’t Know Jack in 2010.
Interestingly enough when Pacino first came to his role as Michael Corleone, producers did not want him in the role. Director Francis Ford Coppola fought for Pacino to have the part and they were both worried about being fired. However, it is one of the greatest movies said to have been made.
In addition to nominations and wins for his roles in acting, he has also won Tony awards, one in 1969 for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel.
With a new movie coming out, entitled Manglehorn, and to celebrate this versatile actor’s fame and achievements, TheCelebrityCafe.com has put together the top ten films starring Al Pacino.
